Ripples Chowder Bay

Located within the Clifton Gardens Reserve, this unique site overlooks the iconic Sydney Harbour. Taking a step back into the rich history of this location we had the opportunity to revive this 19th-century submarine miners’ depot. The original timber framing and columns remain, and the main dining room features a spiral staircase that was originally used to connect the miner's workshop to the mine storage chambers during the 1890's. The surrounding area was a recreational destination for Sydneysiders. We leaned into its playful past and brought in layers of patterns, textures and antique inspired furniture. The walls adorned with carefully selected found and curated artworks, lighting soft and warm throughout ultimately creating an atmosphere that is intimate and inviting inside. Outside the alfresco area furniture was also updated to align with our new concept. Rattan style dining chairs amongst detailed warm marbles and floral embroidered patterned chairs make this dining experience a true delight. An eclectic offering with traditional charm and contemporary elegance.
