Melrose House

Melrose House’ is a waterfront residence at Camp Cove Beach in Watson’s Bay. The brief was a full renovation of the dated yet charming waterfront property. The clients wanted to feel as if they were on holiday at home. Connecting this well-travelled family to the places they love to visit referencing details from Ibiza, Italy, Greece and Spain. Materials were thoughtfully considered by selecting handmade tiles, natural terrazzos and neutral stones, tactile plastering and micro-cementing surfaces throughout. Outside, we swapped dated terracotta tiling for fresh, natural limestone in a crazy paving pattern. This waterfront residence brings the holiday home with its charming layout but fresh new perspective.
